Hi all,
I have a 1990's Cedar Creek "thermometer" hard shell case (have posted on here before about it) where the interior foam below the plush lining has hardened. I am thinking it's probably time to do something about besides working it back to a semi-soft state with my hands. It's otherwise a nice case in great shape. Has anyone either tried to remove the plush lining and done the replacement themselves or have sent it off to someone who knows how to repair cases using glues that won't damage nitro finishes? Or just purchase something like a good TKL case and be done with it? I am thinking by the time the case is shipped back and forth and with labor and materials cost the cost of repair could be around $1000 USD or more. And, if I try to do it myself it could possibly turn into a huge mess! Please let me know if you have any experience with either the DIY approach or sending a case off for repair.
Thanks,
Bill

I wonder if an upholstery company could do that locally for you. Looks like there are a bunch of them in Santa Fe.
