I know someone just outside of Philly. A bit of a drive but well worth it.

You have to visit Andy Fuchs in Clifton NJ. He runs a very professional repair business, as well as amp building. He knows so much. I've had several amps repaired there, all great.

Billy Penn in Toms River is excellent as is Dave’s Sound, already mentioned here. I have used them both.
If you decide on Billy he prefers text messaging. He sent his customers an email a while back he is busy. I copied it:

To ensure consistent quality and turnaround times, amplifier service will be limited to:

• Pre-1980 Fender and Marshall tube amplifiers
  
• Select post-1980 tube amplifiers by discretion
  
• All Pennalizer amplifiers (always accepted)

For other amplifier and electronic repairs, I recommend:

ahh yes how could I forget Fuchs? I have always wanted to visit them. Have heard nothing but good things.

I’d ask Lou of Guitars N Jazz. He’s been in NJ a very long time, and likely knows everybody’s work.
