    Hi,

I want something not too expensive but virsatile ( mostly playing at home but occasional gigs)

The idea is to connect mic for
    -acoustic via mic
    - acoustic with piezo
    - electric guitar
    - e drums
    - e piano
    - mic for vocals and harmonica

I play 7- 8 strings often so low end is important also
    Using external looper

Not all instruments at a time but 2-3 channels max

    What would be your suggestions?

    Thank you in advance

I think you just described a basic desk mixer? They come with versions for 4,6,8 etc channels. Yamaha and Mackie make good basic ones. Your electric Piano will probably appreciate stereo (2 channels).

    Thank you

I am not a gear guy really
    I will look into it
And I guess for these I will need also a pair of speakers?

Unless you have a reasonable understanding of EQ of these instruments you need to build some knowledge before spending a dime. The EQ for vocals is very different to drums. Electric guitar direct sounds awful, but acoustic can be fine if you also have some careful eq.

you will not likely find a device you can simply plug everything into on its own and go.

a mixer still needs to get connected to an amplifier and amp to a speaker. Perhaps you could get away with powered monitors.

But to be honest your cheapest route may be to get an audio interface and go through a computer based Digital Audio Workstation or DAW. But there will be a steep learning curve ahead. Many claim to play at home through their PCs at home.

for gigs though you will need a mixer, linear amp and speakers or powered pa speakers. And for electric guitar at a minimum an amp & cab simulator upstream of the mixer. (Like a Walrus audio ACS or Strymon iridium at the high end, Joyo American sound at a basic level.)

    Good luck!

    Thank you!

    Actually I have Scarlett 2i2.
I have a firend who always plays only with one guitar - interface - PC - headphones. He could never understand why I keep buying (and selling) varous pedals, loopers, amps... important point: he mostly records and edits multiple tracks, I mostly play live (even if it is not a gig I play as if it is, and if I play with a looper it is also always live) and I want things to be controlable realtime.
I know it is possible also to do with DAW - after all one can get a midi controller - but as you mentioned it is a learning curve and I am not patient with it, and also I do not like to work computer unless it is very simple.

I took out Scarlett and tried to set it up again - now it is easier as with AI I can quickly check what to do but I see how many things need to be adjusted, added, switched on/off etc.

I do not mind buying something but I want it to be effecient

Ok, I will experiment and see

    Thank you again
