I still kick myself in the ass for not buying the all japanese exrubato jazz in that same color. I offered 2k and he wanted $2100 and I balked. I should've just bit the bullet but at the time it was the height of covid buying frenzy and I was tired of paying top dollar for everything.

Best semi hollow I ever had was a Gibson Tennessean. 25.5 scale , 1.75" nut, and bright (exclusive to the model) pickups. Nice guitar but it had 22 frets and I can't play that. Somebody has it now and I bet they are super happy.

I periodically consider a 70s/80s MPC semi-hollow. I have no idea whether they're any good, but being able to giggle at the Gumby headstock every day might make living with whatever deficits it has worthwhile.
