    I’ve just bought a new 330.
    Casino p90 pickup????

    maybe they use the same PUs for the epiphone usa casinos?

    Apart from the plastic pickup covers (neck pickup tilt and color), when it comes to the actual P-90 pickup, there were some differences in the past, e.g different magnets and possibly other things like the coil wire etc. However, it should be noted that the Casino is one of those guitars that was originally built in the Gibson Kalamazoo factory, as a joint effort of the design teams of Epiphone and Gibson when the two companies joined in the 60s. In other words, I would assume that the original Casino P-90 pickups were identical to any Gibson P-90 at the time...But I could be wrong, maybe the Casino P-90 was different?

    I think there was a video on this doing the rounds. I haven’t watched it but here it is in case of interest



    My guess (apropos of nothing) is that this is the right pickup. They started doing USA made Epi Casinos a few years ago and so they probably just use the same pickups. I imagine that making Casinos in the USA (same factory) created the conditions to reintroduce the 330

    But many on here would know better than me
