I'm getting ready to go back to regularly playing out next week after a year during which I think I only played out twice. That means it's amp time again and a lightly used Milkman "The Amp Combo" became available here in Canada at just the right time. It arrived this afternoon and after about 30 minutes of messing with it, I plugged in the line out (which includes a speaker sim) and on the second try, recorded this. I'd like a bit more sparkle but I think for the first day it sounds pretty good.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for posting!
I think all your recordings are great, so I'm biased in that direction.
This one sounds more like a "guitar amp," rather than the "purer," PA/direct sounds you often record - and I dig it!
[I think amps are cool, and can add different "vibes" to one's sound, so this sounds excellent to me!]
There are others here (@Omph, et al.) who use Milkman stuff, so you may want to chat with them about EQ settings, etc.
Have fun at your gig!

Thanks Marc. If my hands hold up, I should be playing this one every Friday afternoon. I really wish that I could use a computer as a preamp. I've really fallen in love with that sound but I suspect that the warmth of this amp will actually go over much better.
