I'm thinking of using it with my FlyRig 5 pedal, which is analog preamp with speaker simulator, not digital modeler. The Headrush claims to be a neutral system to just amplify the sound of your pedal without coloring it, anyone has any experience with it? Or any thoughts?

I need it mainly for function events where I need a monitor for myself and send the main signal to the house PA. Because I'm tired with the sound guys in China, the situation here is abysmal.

I grabbed one awhile back to use with a Boss GT1000core. There’s a little weirdness to dial out of the low end, but the built-in high-pass filter sorts that well enough. For the price and size, I’m happy with it.

I started a similar thread about Fender Fr cabs. This is a video of a jazz guitarist reviewing and comparing Headrush 108 with Fender's powered cabs:

Nice, i like the Headrush the best in this video. Also I do appreciate they dont have EQ settings on Headrush, unlike Fender, the point is to set EQ on your pedal. Fender is too heavy anyway, and I didn't like the sound.

I have an Alto active speaker.

But Alto is not a flat response speaker I think?
