    Hello,

I have an Ibanez GB 10 guitar and I am using a gator gigbag for acoustic guitar.

We use a small car - a smart - and I have to take the guitar in front of of me in the car. This gigbag is too big for that. So I take a solid body guitar in a thin gigbag when I need to take that car to go for a gig.

But I would really prefer to play with the ibanez GB10.

My question : which gigbag fit perfectly a Ibanez GB10 ?
I mean not a 17 inch archtop gigbag for a 14 inch guitar.

Maybe a solib body guitar gigbag, but the GB10 isn't as thin as a solid body...

So what are you using with your ibanez GB10.

    Thanks.

I have what I think is the Reunion Blues Expedition (? I thought they called it the"Continental" at the time, but i could be wrong) bag that I purchased about 10 or 12 years ago, solely to travel back to the Midwest for a reunion gig with friends.

I managed to get it inside the plane cabin on one leg of the journey, but had to check it through baggage at the gate two other times and it survived just fine.

It's designed for a Strat or Les Paul, but the GB10 fits perfectly, if only slightly tight at both ends. Given that the size and profile of a GB10 is nearly like a Les Paul x 1.2, it works pretty well.

This is the bag that they demoed a few years back by throwing it off a two-story building with a Strat inside. (It survived just fine). Heavy Cordura construction, extra pockets, back straps, etc. Certainly not the cheapest, but I will grab it before the original case if I'm jamming with friends.

I have a Mooradian that is smaller than a 16". I had it made for my 15". It also fits my OM sized acoustic flat top which is also a 7 string, so yes it's got headstock clearance.
You might not want to go the expense of a custom bag but for me it was a must; I have several hand built 15" guitars. It enables a degree of freedom and mobility so I can, as you know, take it more places and be agile and maneuverable to stay out of trouble.
I might mention that there even was a model of the Benson that came in red and had a single pickup. It didn't come in a case but rather was sold with a nicely padded gig bag. It was kinda like the perfect working man's GB10 (maybe it was a GB15?) and I should have gotten one when I worked for Hoshino, but I never knew how limited the run on them was.

My next bag will be a Cronkite Leather one. He builds to spec and that's serious protection, but they're not cheap.
    Good luck.

When I had a GB10 I used to carry it in a Blue Heron gig bag for classical guitar and the fit was perfect.

I have a GB10 and the original case for that is small enough I've never felt in need to get a gig bag. It feels like half the size of a dreadnought or a 17" archtop. I have a Reunion Blues Continental gig bag for my ES 175, but it's barely any smaller than a hardshell case if at all. Lighter, though, and so much more portable but if size was the only criteria, it's really not much better than the OHSC from Gibson.

When I bought the RB, I ordered it off of their website because it was the same price everywhere. I emailed them about which bag they would recommend and they immediately had an answer, because it's not the first time the question has been asked. I'd be surprised if they didn't already know which gig bag best fits a GB10. I would also think that would be true for most gig bag manufacturers. It would behoove them for sales, after all.

For my solidbodies I use Levy bags (CM-17 or something? I'd have to look again) and those are less than half the size of the GB10. I don't know that any gig bag that will fit the GB10 is going to be near as compact as for a Telecaster or Stratocaster or Les Paul.

I have a Eastman 15 inch archtop (603) and a mono bag: M80 Series for OM/CLASSICAL, Model M80-AC. It fits perfectely. So I think, it could also work for the GB10.

I agree, I had a full sized Classical guitar gig bag for my Ibanez 15inch (lower bout).

So, take your guitar to a guitar shop and see if there is a classical guitar gig bag you like, that fits.

I found that some Les Paul cases were too small.

I have the first model of the Ibanez AG75 14.5" body. I got it without a case and so immediately went to the big guitar store and was told they didn't have one that fit it. I asked to look them over and quickly found an SKB hard case for a classical guitar that fit it perfectly, not expensive (classical guitar body width is typically 14.5").
