    That is the question. Looking for an 8-string nylon to accompany my wife on violin. Mostly my own arrangements of piano accompaniments. Interested in these two. One is fanned fret, the other is not. Any advice about fanned fret, pro or con? I've never tried a fanned fret before. The 27" bass side scale kinda worries me.

    I know someone who bought the Ibanez 7 string version,playability was ok but soundwise it was very mediocre.
