I found something, this guitar came into my radar about a week ago and I liked what I was seeing. It is not a jazz guitar, in fact it was designed for metal heads. I am not a shredder, but I wanted something different, and this guitar can do much more than just soulless shredding. But it may give me some new colors to work with, and hey it is built with high standards, using really good parts....and yes even the pickups are solid. And for $200....amazing what is coming out of them Chinese factories these days. It really is worth noting.
Here is my new guitar....I will see it tomorrow for the first time.

Well, let us know. When they are that cheap, they often need upgrades, parts replaced, etc. - something or other is usually a bit off.

I bought this Shine for similar money. I needed something like it for the Beat It solo (which I never mastered).
It has a laminated neck - through. The original pickups looked like EMGs. The bridge pup didn't humbuck! I put in a cheap Fender Diamond Back (I think).
The SCs were OK but I replaced them with Entwistles.
Basically it's a well built guitar but the fretboard has too much curvature (ie small radius).
After I bought it I remembered my late 80s Fender HM Strat, which would have served the purpose.

So this is the first recording ever with this guitar, and the first time playing it. This is like an unplanned, spontanious jam session between three guys that fell into a room with instruments and said "let's see what happens". And it was so much fun! I love the tones this guitar produces plugged in, but not too thrilled about it unplugged, it lacks a lot. Sounds very quiet, flat, and dead. But I assume the strings have been sitting on this for a long time, it was "open box" from the store I bought it from online. Anyway, check this out.....this was super fun.
