No, it doesn't look at all like a FG100, why would you suppose it is one?

Looks like an FG100 body and headstock.

Is it possible that you have a factory one-off?
That model began in 1983 and discontinued in 1987. I've seen them with a beautiful figured birds-eye maple back, but rarely a birds-eye top. The GB-style tailpiece could have been added by a former owner. However, the ebony board with abalone dots is also indicative of a very rare iteration of that model.

AFAIK, the FG100 doesn't have dots on the fretboard but square blocks.
The tailpiece and saddle look like belonging to a George Benson model; No GB guitars have a dotted fretboard either.

Who would bother to fake an Ibanez FG100?
-
I don't know, it wasn't meant to be taken that seriously my reply.
But it does look like a Frankenstein's guitar.

They are rare now, so perhaps they command a high price? (don't know). It's such an odd duck, maybe the body is authentic but everything else, including the neck, has been replaced.

My luthier checked it; the tailpiece is from a GB 100, hard to find. The fretboard appears to be original; he estimates it may have been made for NAMM, as it has the luthier's signature on the label.
