Clean part starts at 1:12. This is one of the very, very few times ever where a YT vid absolutely nails the tone I hear in my head. I’m severely tempted to hunt for a used one somewhere. Any H-530 users here?
Great playing too BTW. I’m going to study those lines he plays.

I would recommend them

I have played it exclusively since I got 2 years ago.

This is a H-530 ordered with humbuckers. Back a few years Heritage was flexible with its builds. This one took about a year to complete the order for some reason.
The P-90 version of course sounds different. With either version you have flexibility in pickups, single coil or humbucker.

They’re “blowing out” the standard 530s for $2000 now to make way for the new Standard II series.I have absolutely no justification to buy one, but I have been sorely tempted!

This is the video that prompted me to buy one:

Well, the guitar matches... the jeans .

I actually like "The Heritage" on the headstock, i find it more unique and whimsical

2bornotbop that one is beautiful !

Absolutely!

It had a surprising amount of acoustic volume and brought the laminate hollowbody thing in spades, but I suspect I would’ve liked the non-Custom Shop version better (that has Lollar P90’s whereas the CS models come with Heritage P90’s).

I was attracted to this model like a moth to a flame, I broke down after a year; and its been my "go to" guitar for almost everything!
Its nothing like a H535...

For $2k the standard version is a no brainer!

Lollars are definitely good.

That's really cool. How are you liking it?

Oscar67, what bothered you with the Custom Shop ? I see you liked it, but what was that little thing..
Was is the feeling of the neck or something ?
-
Well, I’ve had a 335 before and found it bulky and somewhat uncomfortable. The 530 is similarly sized and shaped, just lighter. And yes, the neck didn’t really suit me. Soundwise the P90s didn’t sound as good to my ears as Lollars. And I don’t feel like swapping them on a guitar costing 4.4k€. Cosmetically, the Heritage headstock shape is a turn-off for me and I didn’t like the colour of this particular one. You can see the guitar I tried on this page.

Thanks for the reply.
Just a thought.. I bought Squier Classic Vibe Duo Sonic for my daughter this week. It was kind of an impulse buy, there was a huge discount in a store.
It's super lightweight, has 24 inch scale, and when I tried it in the store it clicked me in a very positive way.
So l bought on a whim, made a proper setup, polished the frets, changed the strings.. just very basic stuff.
And.. it's fabulous ! I'm super impressed by the sound, playability, and overall feel of this 350€ guitar. I have two US AVRI Fenders at home (a 75 Telecaster and 59 Stratocaster), and it's just as good. The neck pickup is pure bliss, and still has that Fender dynamic chime despite the 24 scale.. and it's freaking good for jazz (think Julian Lage type of sound)..
That makes me really think twice with spending thousands in a guitar these days.
Only problem is now, I want to try all the Classic Vibes

The Squier Classics are great guitars for the low money.

My only issue would be a fatter neck shape, than what they offer as standard issue! Seems like Heritage is getting better, especially with they’re aesthetics!
-
The guitar is most like a ES-330 with the longer neck. It is slightly thinner (1 5/8" vs 1 6/8"). So it's a lightweight. It has a louder acoustic volume due to the lack of a center block.

I find it balances well and sounds good.

Where do you see them for 2K?
