    I got this a few days ago, purchased sight unseen, and I couldn't be happier. It's a 2002 Heritage Golden Eagle thinline with a flamed maple top, Duncan Seth Lover pickups, block inlays, ebony Johnny Smith pickguard, and Johnny Smith style tailpiece. It's in near mint condition, and plays very smoothly with low action. It's quite effortless, in fact. The flame on the front is somewhat understated, while the flame on the back, sides, and neck is extremely vivid and lively. The neck is a very comfortable C shape just a hair bigger than medium. It's a touch smaller than my preference - fat 50s Gibson C profiles - but certainly in the range of what I am happy with. It's full but not fat. Fretwork is superb.

    The guitar came with the original spec request email to the dealer and the original receipt with specs - a nice piece of history to accompany it. The Heritage-branded case doesn't fit the guitar perfectly - the guitar body seems a little shorter than than the case and it can slide, and I think the case may also be full-depth. Not an issue as this guitar will be played at home.

    I've had it for a few days, and it's as good an electric archtop as I can remember playing, and that includes a late 90s blond L5CT that was custom made for an artist that I owned. As a side note, @Hammertone has this guitar's cousin, and I've played that, and it too is as good an electric archtop as I've played. Heritage is very, very impressive.

    Some pics, and yes, I'm the worst photographer of guitars, ever.

    I guess when I bought (new) my 1993 GE, I wasn't aware of the thinline, if they even made one then. And I was then only fixated on my idea of a trad jazz box. Go figure.

    Heritage listed the GE Thinline as a separate model in their older catalogues.

    @GuitarJay...

    What an awesome Golden Eagle Thinline!! I love my Heritage '93 GE, but would love a thinline version as well.
