Been messing with ChatGPT the last few days - I asked it to design a powered speaker cabinet based on some components that I have available and was presently surprised at the whole process. By just listing models of speakers, class d amp board, and crossover, it was able to retrieve the specs of the components from the web and put together a useable cabinet design using different materials that I suggested (plywood or pine) and even various sizes - it AB'd different sizes and ported or non ported and even seemed aware of the characteristics of the individual components and how they would work together. I've got quite a long history of cabinet building and pretty much know what works and what doesn't and, so far, the results I'm getting seem on the level. Tomorrow, I'll be building an extension cabinet for my incoming Bud 6 based on these designs - using an 8" Eminence Alpha A and making it to match the size of the Bud. On paper, it looks really good, so we'll have to wait and see.

Anyone else jumped down this rabbit hole?

Who would have thought. Yes, I use it for everything high tech and it knows what it's doing. Yes, you have to prompt it correctly and sometimes refine things, but it's ridiculously advanced compared to hitting the library. Some things I use it for: trouble shooting reaper, my coding homework, talking in spanish, we did trig to make an oceanographic discovery, I've done some design things like what you listed. We designed a semi gun surfboard with a passive stall function built into the tail for stalling for the tube..
