Hello everyone, I recently came across a Benedetto Manhattan 1991 that's currently for sale. I'd like to ask if this particular guitar was entirely made by Bob Benedetto himself? The photos the seller sent me show Bob Benedetto's autograph inside the guitar body, so I'd like to ask you all.
Thank you.

Bob was still operating his own shop at that time. At various times he had an apprentice working with him, but they were still considered Bob’s hand-made guitars. I have attached a copy of the page from Bob’s book showing 30 guitars he entered into his serial number log during 1991 (including 12 Manhattans). You should be able to find the guitar listed there if you have the serial number.

IMO, the late 80's through the later 90's were Bob's golden period. I think he really hit his stride then. I say this after playing some of his earlier work and although they were wonderful, they didn't have the magic.

My 90 Cremona is listed in the roster. Has a Stroudsburg signed label.
Love mine.

I agree. That is probably the peak time of Bob’s work.

I can add a data point here. I've owned Benedetto's from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00's, and the one that got away for me was a Clearwater era '89 Manhattan. It was a magical sounding instrument to me. That range you describe is gonna be a winner.
good luck.
