My jacks often loosen. I know how to tighten them w a spanner wrench, but if this gizmo works, it would be quicker (-you don't have to take the jack plate off).
But I would love to hear from a player (who isn't also a luthier or tech, you know, a regular asshole like me) whether this is worth getting or not.

I have the one from StewMac, which appears to be very similar. It works well and is as easy to use as they say it is. I got the plain plastic version, since I don't anticipate having to use it often. I carry it in my little tool kit, just in case.

It's fine to tighten the nut with a small box wrench or socket, as long as there's a lock washer of some kind on the inside and the nut is close enough to fully seated to let the lock washer hold the jack stable while you tighten the nut. But if the nut is really loose, it may not pull the flange tightly enough against the inside. If the jack is easily rotated, you have to hold it in place or risk twisting the jack itself far enough to break the wire or the solder joint to the jack terminal. You can hold most jacks still enough with a cable plug in them to snug the nut down. But if the nut won't get tight enough and the jack keeps turning, stop.
These tools will let you get it tight enough so you can add a little more torque with a wrench without rotating the jack. I think they're worth the money.

Use a drop of Loctite Blue Threadlocker and you won't need to re-tighten!

I have one like never's. Just got it last week, as a matter of fact; it's the Allparts version. My ES-175 jack continually loosens, so I got this to snug it down. It seemed to work fine. You can't crank the nut down real tight because the jack does start the spin on the shaft that holds it, which in the case of the ES 175 is probably protective.
The jack is one of those things where the engineering is suboptimal but we haven't changed it in 100 years because it mostly works.

I bought a knock of bullet on eBay. It feels cheap and flimsy, but with careful usage, it’s held up.
