This time with some midrange eq cuts (see below pic) and using outboard reverb (el nano Holy Grail) instead of onboard verb. This is as close to my “Clarus” sound as I think I can get but when I A/B them this sounds more “electric” compared to the woodier quality of the clarus. The attack is sharper too. Different strokes, in the final analysis.

don't burn yourself!

No worry, it isn’t real. Is anything real, now that you mention it?

These esoteric musings tend to trap my mind in inextricable conundrums, so I try not to notice such things.

Lovely playing. I have learned more about the amp from these threads.
Care to comment about the FX loop and your use of it?
I have a nice cable and plan to make up a small pedal board.

The loop is just a basic insert point that’s post pre-amp. There’s a brief description and graphic about it in their manual. https://www.henriksenamplifiers.com/...M6lxG4Jd5r_Byb

Your sound is nice, I like your mic’ing deal too.

Best sounding one.
FYI Ed cherry also was using a henriksen recently and he also used a holy grail nano for his reverb.

Yes, but he only played them in the Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Slightly different, likely more noticeable in the room than via YouTube. Both very good and you still sound like you with either setup. In some ways this tone harks back more to the Halfling than the Compliant Rim.

. I’m finding that regardless of EQ, the Henriksen sound is quite different than the acoustic image clarus. The Blu is more electric sounding. I hear the steel and penetrating strength of tone. The Clarus is more acoustic. I hear the wood and the air. It is supple and yielding. This morning I went back to recording with the Clarus, and it felt like coming home.

Comparing your playing between fingers or pick has a bigger contrast than the amp settings, IMHO.
