I’d love to hear from anyone who owns (or has owned) an Eastman AR372ce. I’m looking for an ES-175 style Archtop and I keep coming back to the AR372ce as a great option. Can you give me some insight into neck thickness and overall neck feel? Also, do you like the stock pickups? I guess just what’s the level of quality in general?

The 372 is a nice guitar but if you want it to sound like a 175,i think you might be disapointed. The only Eastman that i have tried that sounds 175ish to me is the 480.

I owned an Eastman ar503ce, and ended up moving it on. I just couldn't get on with the neck. It was closer to a classical guitar than my Gibson ES-335. The build quality and Ebony fretboard was fantastic...just not the shape I wanted. I have been looking ever since for a hollow body that is comfortable to play and has THAT sound. I recently purchased a Fibenare Basic Jazz hollow body that gives me everything I want in a jazz box. It is expensive...but for me it's worth it. YMMV.

I guess I played the Eastman T49V in antique finish instead of the 382. They seem like the same dimensions overall.

Perhaps you can find a dealer who will give you a tryout period? Or, buy a used one and keep it for a while. Sell it if you end up not liking it.

Eastmans are fantastic guitar. High quality. If you crave foe Gibson sound save for it. Eastman sounds and play great, but the lighter build is more resonant acoustically which somehow takes away from the amplified sound.
Myself, i would 100% favour it for playing live than bringin a heavier Gibson.
Maybe you can get closer to a gibson by using some heavily wounded pickup, to fatten the sound.
