I will be in Tokyo for a week and am interested in recommendations for exploring Jazz Guitar shops and performance venues while there. Any suggestions? Thnx!

Beside ochanomizu area, go to "Walkin" in shibuya, an specific place for jazz guitars.
Almost every guitar shop had a hollow body sector where amazing guitars can be found.

If you make it to Ochanomizu, the top floor of G Club on the corner has some choice used instruments, vintage archtops. Lots of interesting consignment items, too, always changing and worth a visit just to play a few.

If you want to attend an open jam session, Intro near Waseda University is worth a stopover.
