I've lost track of how many archtops have come and gone over the years but I like to think that this is the one that will stay.

Just beautiful Jim. I think you’ve found her.

So that is 24&3/4” scale length, rosewood fingerboard, and laminate or solid top construction?
You always have that light velvet touch!

Thanks. All laminates and rosewood board. I'm definitely done with both solid woods and ebony fingerboards. They switched from maple all around to spruce laminate for the top. They claim it gives it a "woodier" tone. I have no idea if that's true but it does have a really warm tone. And yes, a 24 3/4" scale length and a much more Gibson than Guild profile and width.

I have thought that with every new guitar Jim has featured over the last few years, which is at least a dozen.

They have all sounded great, personally I think I would've stuck with the Soloway Gosling which was a lovely instrument visually as well as sonically. But I also get the need to check out new things as a way to keep things fresh and interesting and feeling like there is forward movement.

I guess I was thinking more that he had found his archtop rather than his mate.
But he gives his heart to all of his guitars. I know, cause I have one of his goslings that he gave us a heads up about last year when he noticed it was for sale, remembering details about it as if he had just finished making it. I love the guitar but like Jim I give my love to many.

That Gosling remains with me and is still my number one guitar. Many guitars have come and gone but that's been with me for about 14 years. With the endless album project finally in the last stages, that Gosling was used on 10 of the 11 songs with the Guild used one one.

It's just so much guitar for the money but who knows. I've even considered selling it and buying a keyboard

I think sometimes it’s funny how we are attracted to certain instruments. And as a player myself, it’s not always the most coveted guitars out there.
I ve been through way too many guitars over the years, and sometimes the same model several times, lol!
Right now I’m bonding with guitars that I put some serious work into. The Carvin Fatboy Jim S. graciously sold me,is my latest obsession!
