Hello all. I have a micro cube and it only ever makes one sound regardless of where the amp modeler knob is set to. There are settings for acoustic. clean , black panel , rectifier Etc. They all sound exactly the same. Has anyone ever made this repair or know what the culprit might be? I actually switched out the selector switch but it made no difference. Thanks

could the fx loop be defective? Try plugging a known good cord from fx send/preamp out to fx return/power amp in.
I know nothing about this amp but a google search turned up the suggestion to plug a pedal into pwr amp in to bypass the preamp. If a cord in the fx loop solves the problem, you may be able to fix it by cleaning the jack's contacts with deoxit (or even just the eraser on a common pencil). You might also resolder all connections to and from the jack. Take care not to stress the PCB if the jacks are soldered directly to it.
    Good luck...!

I just want to support the excellent idea of reheating the solder connections if that knob is soldered directly into the board.

Jacks, pots and switches which are directly soldered into the board are a potential weak point. There is mechanical stress when you use the knob and that stress can crack the solder joint. That can mean, in effect, the switch is gone. The repair is just re-flowing the solder. Just a touch of the soldering iron may be all that's needed. The hard part is sometimes getting the board to where you can work on it.
