No but they have good reviews and are inexpensive (under $10) so no harm in trying a set - doesn't sound like they're jazz guitar strings though -- Rotosound Roto Purples - Amazon.com

I used to use the Swing Bass set before I went to LaBella Deep Talking Flats.

I have been using Rotosound strings, almost exclusively, for years. They are long-lasting, full of character, inexpensive and made in Kent. Buy them at a music shop.

    I love Rotosound strings,
use Top Tape, Purples, and Reds.
Affordable (although Top Tapes have gotten a bit more expensive),
    long lasting, and intonate well.

I used 12-52 Flats and standard...not bad.... However, I returned to to D'Addario which seem more friendly to me. Maybe it"s a matter of getting used to.

I've used Rotosound Yellows on my solid bodies for ever! I have many of the spare high e strings that are probably mostly unusuable now. I had the same set of Rotosound double bass strings on my bass for 25 years.
With the ridiculous prices of the 'jazz' strings I normally use, I am going to start checking out any Rotos that may be suitable for my archtops.

A few of my archies have nickel plated wounds. I may try these next time. Rotosound R13 Nickel Heavy Gauge Electric Guitar Strings (13 17 26 34 44 54) : Amazon.co.uk: Musical Instruments & DJ https://share.google/GCdTuQeGL93QUqoDX

I think the strings are only ok, but they are inexpensive.

Yep, I used Rotosound's Swing Bass 66 set until I discovered Ken Smith strings...but that was 40 years ago. Never liked the fact that the Rotosound's lost all their top end suddenly and drastically; within ~2 weeks of playing they were a totally different sounding string...and not the sound I'd paid for!

tbh I don't think I even knew they made guitar strings. Certainly have never seen a set.

That's exactly why I liked them. I have never liked bright zingy strings.

Top tapes are outstanding strings. They are my favorite by far and I've tried them all. They are higher tension strings, and they will drive an acoustic bodied archtop better than any other 12s I've found.

Geez, then a stainless steel roundwound was definitely The Wrong Tool For The Job!

That has not been my experience with RotoSound Top Tape flat strings.

    I prefer Thomastik-Infeld. (TI's)
