Random post & complete shot in the dark; the band were photographed sometime in the late 1940s at Moor Hall (film animation) Studios at Cookham, Berkshire; on the Thames
Judging by the outfits Dizzy Gillespie had made his mark!
I doubt its a fancy guitar, just interested. Not even sure its an archtop. Anyone know anything about the band.?
    Asking for a friend :-)

Look closely at the picture, or use an app that lets you zoom in...
The little beards and saucy hats are clearly additions to the photo.

More photos from Moor Hall here. You might find the guitarist among them.

For some reason the guitar player makes me think of the Pizzarelli's. And the guitar appears to be an early 30's Epiphone deluxe.

The guitar reminds me of a Radiotone made in Schönbach and sold in UK in the 30s

Hard to tell, but I'd vote the guitar being a Schonbach.

Thanks for all your suggestions - sorry for slow response - I'm away at present. The photo came from Moor Hall archives as a relative was there (but not a musician).
I assumed they were all wearing false stick-on comedy beards; after all it was a place for animators / cartoonists but obv', close up, they've been painted on - which also makes sense in a film studio.
The Moor Hall website doesn't know who the band is - I guess their contributors would have recognised some of their own - although it was a long long time ago.

Unfortunately on zooming in, the image gets too fuzzy for me to have a clear idea about the guitar. I guess there weren't a huge number of new guitars available after the war, so its likely a 30's instrument?
The Radiotone / Schonbach images bear some resemblance - but the inlay in the headstock seems to have 3 dots or square-ish marks in a kind of staircase arrangement, with possibly other lines (not strings) in the same area. Vaguely Art Deco.
The logo appears to be a kind of flowing script with maybe a g with long tail followed by an h, b or d with a tall upright. Or it could be a florid f a bit like the Hofner logo but without the capital H

On the other hand I could be misreading the image; the whole logo may be at a steep angle. Then I have no idea what that would be!
