WARNING -- UTTER CHAOS!! This is the coda from one of my tunes, it's called I gave my heart

This is a very raw, rough mix of me playing atonal Pat Martino style (think Joyous Lake period). I'm doing the vocal stuff (beatbox) here but Srbuhi Hovhannisyan will be doing vocals on the album. The rest of the tune is not as dissonant as the ending.

I happen to love the chaos and it's a little different from other things I've recorded and/or anything else on either of my 2 albums.

This is an Ibanez GB10 going through a Fractal FM3 modeler by the way.

This preview features myself on guitar, bass, vocal, Lucio Cheli on drums. Soon I'll have a real bassist and vocals (and the rest of the tune)

Thanks, i was worried how this group was going to react, given that a few months ago, I was accused of playing a sour note by using an E natural over an Fmin7 chord!

Thanks, much appreciated. When the drummer heard the track, he thought it was too busy but I kind of like the chaos for the same reason as you state.

Really like it, Jack. When is the album coming out? Best GB tone I've heard from you over all the years... nice sparkle, in addition to the clarity and articulation, beyond the creativity. You keep getting better and more surprising!

Thanks, the album will be out late summer or early fall. My previous album is available as individual singles on all the streaming sites but I'm currently working on remixing the whole thing because the engineer quit in the middle of the project so the album version of that will be released within a few weeks. This tune will be on a different album.

Regarding the GB, I had a vintage-vibe humbucker put it in which is not as bright or thin as the stock pickups.

    Thanks for your comments.

Cool, look forward to a good listen. What's up with the pickup? It really sounds different. I would never have guessed you were playing a GB10!

Update: I found your video pickup review from last year. Unfortunately, as you know, Vintage Vibe is out of business. I might look into the custom made Duncan pick ups as suggested in another thread somewhere, which would be an easier retrofit, given they are the same size as a Johnny Smith, so no real modifications needed. But yours sure sounds good :-)

Thanks, i've gotten used to it but if you don't have the volume and tone on 10, it gets a little nasally sounding. Whereas, a classic '57 pickup is very musical with almost any vol/tone setting. The issue with the GB was that there wasn't enough vertical space to use a full depth humbucker so vintagevibe overwinds them which I find to be unfortunate. But, it still sounds better than stock to my ear
