So, I don't have any experience with soft cases. I bought the biggest one I could find. Internally, it's 5" deep. The body of my guitar is 3 3/8". With the arch and bridge, the case doesn't fall closed on it's own. I have to to apply some pressure to get it zipped and it's pretty snug. I feel like I'd have to find a case that's 7" deep to fit 'perfectly'. It's also brand new so nice and extra fluffy.
Is this normal?? I feel like maybe I'm putting too much pressure on the bridge and top. But, then again, it's prolly a fraction of the pressure from the strings.
Right????

That case looks a bit too small, but as you suggested, it's heavily padded and may just need time to settle in.
A dreadnought acoustic guitar case should work. I'd measure the dimensions of your guitar and match them with the specs of cases sold online.
After poring over the TKL website, I took a chance on this case on Good Will (which is very nice), my guitar fit but with barely a millimeter to spare -- TKL Guitar Black Hard Case | ShopGoodwill.comLast edited by Mick-7; 07-18-2025 at 04:17 PM.

BTW your case looks of good quality and you have a lovely guitar.

Thanks everyone externally at six and a half inches so I guess I have to wait for the padding to compress a bit maybe I'll start to mold to my guitar a little bit more.
If you're curious here's what I ended up getting.

No. Likely though I will go through slammed in the car door or accidentally kicked down the stairs test.
