Anyone ever dealt with them? I am interested in ordering something from them, but I have a question about it. I've tried calling, emailing, using their online contact link, cannot seem to get any reply to anything.

My guess is that Michael is in France for the Django fest. I know Tommy Davy went.

I bought an Eastman guitar from them a few years ago. No issues with the sale. The guitar did need a pro setup though.

Haven't bought yet (likely to, however), but have had a few email communications with Michael. Always same-day or next-day response and good answers to questions he really didn't have obligation to respond to with full divulgence. Reputation is stellar. -Phil

I bought two guitars, a few pickups, sold three guitars, and regularly buy strings and accessories from Djangobooks. Michael Horowitz has always been a great person to deal with.

I have done a number of transactions with Michael, both on the purchasing side and selling on consignment. He was always great to deal with. He is extremely knowledgeable, honest and very responsive.

I’ve never bought a guitar from him, but only because I’ve been a delighted Guitars ‘n Jazz customer since I met Lou about 30 years ago. Like GnJ, DjangoBooks has new Eastman (and other) guitars at great prices, with a large choice of options & upgrades clearly spelled out.
If he isn’t responding to you, I’m sure there’s a good reason. But I’d expect the website to carry a clear statement of unavailability if it’s more than a day or two. I think he was on vacation when I ordered my Benedetto pickup, and the website said so.

Picked up an Eastman 805 acoustic from Michael a few weeks ago. He was quick and pleasurable to communicate with. After making the initial purchase, I asked opinions on playability and tone of the two 805s he had, thinking I probably should of done that prior.... One being a little newer gold burst 2025 model. He prefered the newer, and had reasons why. (something to do with the bracing carve and tail piece) I don't know one from the other, so I took his advice. Changing my order was no problem and a week later my guitar arrived safely after a cross continent journey.
Great sale, wouldn't hestiste to purchase from him again. Couldn't be happier with the guitar.

Thanks everyone, I'll wait a day or so more and try again.

I have done business with Michael many times over the years. Buy with confidence, he is a straight shooter.

Hi, someone just alerted me to this. Hopefully you were able to get a hold of me. Not sure what happened as I'm pretty much always here and reply to all emails and phone calls within 24 hours. Perhaps your emails went to my junk folder (which I check everyday) or maybe you were actually on a different site which sometimes happens.
