Really a beautiful guitar and very nice playing!

I would love to find one in similar condition, but I have to say, the 175 VOS reissue that I have is so close to a friend of mine's original '59 that I don't think I personally could justify the expense.

After playing them side-by-side, the difference was so negligible that any slight variation in tone could be attributable to technique and or minor deviations in signal chain. Mine did take a bit of a neck correction, as it had the dreaded "hump" at the neck joint, but it plays beautifully now.

Gibson really did their homework on these reissues and they can be great guitars at a more affordable price point, even after being discontinued. Still, if I ran into one like yours for sale, I could be tempted. G.A.S. is a powerful force for evil in the guitar universe!

All in all, a fortunate find for you and a great example of an iconic guitar. Congrats and thanks for sharing it with the community!

Hey! thanks for listening! You know i´ve tried a few of those 59 ri and remember that one of those was GREAT. I am sure it can easily compete with their old sisters... That´s when maybe one with no paf´s brings it close pricewise... In all honesty, i don´t know if i would go so far as to pay for an ALL original one an pay today´s prices
