Picked this up about a month ago, took a chance, glad i did..this is a pretty freaking cool guitar. super light, plays great, sounds great, i dont know what pickup is in it but prob some Japanese thing, but all the others ive seen have had an all black pickup cover in it, so maybe this was changed out? but real nice through my Hendriksen's. Only thing im not crazy about the color, its not that bad but I see they made them in natural which i would ultimately like to find and black i think.

I’ve always admired that design. Could you describe the neck dimensions? Thanks!

perfect C shape Im pretty picky about necks too. Feels kinda like my Sadowsky Semi, not too chunky or thin. Ill have to measure the 1st & 12th fret

They play really well, fit in a standard guitar gig bag and, sound really good. The pickup and pots were nothing special so you probably have at least a better pickup as yes, the stock PU has a black cover. I had changed mine to a Seymour Duncan Jazz, I changed the pots also. The chopstick accutone bridge is unique and sometimes feels like it can get in the way. I thought about shortening the chopstick piece a little. And I totally agree on the color, a bit dull.
Enjoy!

Very cool. ya this is obviously not the stock pickup, i wonder what it is, ill have to look when i change the stings someday. i havent had any issue with the chopstick getting in the way yet but ya i hear ya how it could. i asked a buddy of mine if he could refin this thing..he said it would be pricey $$$ ..i was thinking natural or black, but then i thought why sink money in this thing. definitely a cool jazz guitar...i recorded with it too and damn, it sounds really good.

I actually thought about a refin at times also but then realize the back of the neck and headstock would have to be done too which would make it pricey. Natural would be quite nice and this guitar was sold in natural. I'd also consider a darker, burst like Tobacco.

Hi, it does sound pretty big for the size of guitar that it is. i was really surprised, not sure what pickup is in it but im sure that is helping.

Where did you buy this one? I sold one with a gold covered pickup via consignment earlier this year. Same color.
