Just bought a set of Grover 502s on Ebay (yeah i know) The published spec from Grover is Post length to hole: 23mm · Overall post length: 28.2mm · the images below show measurements of tuners received. Grover shows no such tuner in their catalogue on line not to mention buttons dont fit genuine Grovers (of which I have 9 sets) If your shopping tuners I would suggest not purchasing from "themusicgarage" although others are selling non conforming 502s they are including dimensions in their description which would be mislabeling, omitting dim and shipping in non original packaging would be purposefully misleading (if SS is reading this correct me if Im wrong).
The seller doesnt want to refund saying they are not fakes. My position is Grover only makes the 502 in 0ne post length (shorter length tuners have different location set screw) so this tuner doesnt line up with anything Grover makes. Its seems obvious to me given the unarguable difference theyre fakes. There are several others selling "502s" with shorter posts shown in their description these would not be Grovers either.

Report him to the listing service for selling fugazis.

If you paid with PayPal, eBay's usual payment provider, just file a "item not as described" dispute with them. They've always settled these for me.

It sure seems like a scam to me. Sadly, this happens in online deals more often than we think. One can try getting relief from PayPal, Ebay, Reverb and one's credit card, but there will be times when one will simply be burned. There is very little effective legal recourse in these small transactions. Good luck

Thankyou Counselor, I realize its petty but hoping someone else doesnt get burned. I could not find this tuner in the current Grover catalogue, after many communications with Grover these are probably pre '23 discontinued old stock. They are looking into it as they may be fakes. Either way they "werent as described" and are a different size than current 502s. I will get relief through Ebay but what a PIA!
