One for the many Polytone heads that hang out on this forum.

I've got interested in 2x10 combos -- unsurprising, given my wholesale move to tenor guitar.

2x10s are relatively thin on the ground but I keep turning up interesting amps that I hadn't been aware of. (Reverb is a great resource, if you have the time for browsing.)

One of my online discoveries is the Polytone Mini-Brute 2x10 -- not a 'model' so much as a 'variant', so vanishingly scarce that I suspect they may have been custom-made.

My chance of trying one out locally here in rural England is about zero. Can anyone share impressions, or point me at a player who has used one?

I believe the final version of the Mini-Brute (v5) had two 10" speakers:

My Polytone 102 has one 12" and two 8" speakers (2 different channels).

Also, the Polytone PA-60 mixer can be used to drive twin speakers:

Yup, Mini-Brute V, that's the one. There's been a few 2x10 variants on Reverb. Any sound samples? Or players?

Well, it's a 45 year old amp so good luck finding one.... but back in the day, George Benson used a Polytone 104, which has two 12" speakers -- George Benson Polytone 104 Amplifier Promotion
