I've been a fan of Matt Artinger's work for many years, this beauty was at this years Artisan Show.
There are hints of Languedoc in the design to be sure.
Torrifed Flame Maple neck with ebony board
Lollar Imperial low-wind humbuckers
proprietary handmade ebony and aluminum tune-o-matic bridge
master volume, master tone, toggle switch, 2 series/split/parallel switches
a tone sample * not me , or mine

She arrived last night .. WOW .. impressed. Fit and finish are flawless, light , perfect setup.
Acoustically rich .

Matt Artinger is a craftsman of the highest order! The hollow single cut I played years ago was a work of art to say the least.
If I had the funds,I wouldn’t hesitate to have him build me my dream guitar!
Congratulations on a beautiful instrument!

+1 on Matt Artinger's talent!

I thanked him for the great instrument , showed him a few of my builds and woods and the plan is to build a sister instrument with a Cococbolo neck/fretboard Koa body and Claro top from my wood library .
I'm stoked , his next build window starts in August.. saving my pennies.

Ya that does have Languedoc look to it forsure. Its crazy how the prices have increased on these type of guitars here is some guy dreaming on Reverb with an Equator lol
Just a moment...
-
the G2 Languedoc that inspired it , sold at Circle strings for $80K just crazy. Matt is very down to earth and his prices are reasonable. I talked to him about and agreed.

The wood grain on that one body and neck is absolutely outstanding. Beautiful guitar!
BTW, I had to look up "torrified." Basically, it means "baked," which doesn't have quite the cachet of "torrified."
-
torrified necks tend to sound more "vintage" and resonant as excess moisture is removed.

She has a new sister
-
I think the sister is more beautiful she just needs some nice gold humbuckers (only cause I'm not much of a p90 guy).

There is a guy in Colorado building some amazing and somewhat affordable guitars with a Languedoc vibe! I'm not affiliated but I've seen them pop up on Instagram quite a bit and they sound and look great!

Your guitars remind me of Griffin Guitars:
Standard Hollow body 6-string

Well she finally arrived , dead mint and plays like a dream . The P90's don't have the normal noise, and the pallete of tones is delicious. It's VERY light and comfortable

Had a GREAT first gig with Orangina .. Everybody loves her tone. The club owner where I host Open Mic commented on how great in sounded. The late afternoon sun was coming through the window by the stage during sound check and the finish GLOWED like molten lava .. it was delightfully off the charts.
One of our regular artists , a 77 year old veteran luthier / artist was very impressed with the setup and tone as well, and he's not a fan of electrics.

That's awesome. Sounds like she was a hit!

For the patio jams we have under the pergola during the pleasent weather I use a Mesa Rosette acoustic .

Thanks , I've been a Luthier, soundman and collector for 40 years and have at last count a bit over 50 gorgeous beauties.
I have an old bell brass dobro I got 40 years ago , a delicious '12 Heritage 575C to cover those bases.
Impossible to chose a favorite ..
