Looks pretty nice but what's with the ping pong paddle speaker cutout?

The "handle" is where the tweeter is located.

The Amps look great. But that s a lot of money

It's art, pure and simple - and art is worth what you'll pay for it. I always loved the early wood Boogie cabs with cane grilles too, but I bought my '78 in black Tolex because it was for gigging, not admiring. Keeping a furniture quality case looking right is hard enough in your living room, and they sound the same as a Tolex covered version of the same quality wood.
If I were going to buy a wood one, I'd kick in the extra $500 or so it'd cost for a Calzone / Anvil case for it. But then it wouldn't be the same grab 'n go Blu that I love. And there are several amps I'd rather have for $3k. So as cool as they are, I'll admire these from afar.

And then there's this wood-cab Bud Ten that has me grinding my teeth.

Stop pushing my buttons !! I almost started thinking about which amp(s) I'd sell to make room for that one.....

Ooooo. I wonder if the port is on the bottom, like the 6's?

It will be very interesting to see how many of these they can sell as the looming recession settles in. They look fantastic though…

Ooh, those are amazingly beautiful. But I'm with nevershould as far as furniture-quality and not banging it up.
I also think these are good-looking (although nowhere near the sheer beauty of the Humphrey-ized Bud), and they can be used with a battery:

I had a few AER Compact 60 amps. The one with a solid oak cabinet sounded a bit different that the ones with tolex covered plywood.
These Henriksen special order amps may be exceptional. But I am going to resist finding out for as long as I can.

That's why I bought all my Mesa amps over the past 35 years in hardwood cabinets. Every time I had the opportunity to play hardwood against tolex-ply and the hardwood cabs sounded a bit different and to me, better. Had a Mark IV in walnut, a Mark V in flamed maple, an Express 5:25 in wine-stained birdseye maple. Those are gone now. But still have a Blue Angel in blue-stained quilted maple, and a Subway Blues in Walnut. I can't say whether my wood-cab Bud Six sounds better than a tolex-ply Bud, as I had no opportunity to A/B them, but in principle, I don't think it hurts.

Also, to a prior question -- the Bud Ten has the port on the front upper left corner, so for the Humphrey cab, they must have relocated it to the bottom, since it's not on the back or sides.

Right - that's why I said "they sound the same as a Tolex covered version of the same quality wood". I think I can hear a difference between solid pine and ply Twins, Vibroluxes etc that are otherwise the same. If I were going to buy a wood cab Blu or Bud, I think I'd want pine for the sound. But I'd have to hear it first.

A Twin Reverb RI brand new is $2100 bucks now. They were like $1299 five years ago and 1449 two or so years ago. IMO is still a ripoff but that's besides my point, which is everything is 30-50 percent more now so a 2k amp really isn't that much money in the amp world any longer, it's just kind of average for anything of reasonable quality. It's all too rich for my blood which is why I ain't scored a brand new piece of gear for myself for two decades until a few months ago.
