Hey jazz friends,
I have time to kill in Vienna Austria for the next few days. Any recommendations for a guitar store or stores or music spots? TIA!

I've been to Vienna only once. A breathtaking schedule with castles, museums and other great places to visit. No time to kill, at least 90% of the attractions left for a next visit. A Fender is a Fender everywhere.

IDK. Vienna is so interesting a guitar store would be dead last on my list of things to do there. Use the time saved to see the massive collection of Pieter Bruegel paintings at the Kunsthistorisches Museum.

Klangfarbe - E-Gitarren bei Klangfarbe.com kaufen - is probably the best music/guitar shop in Vienna. Easy to reach by train/subway, and the building it's in is worth looking at (Vienna Gasometers - Wikipedia). A few Fender Custom Shops if I remember correctly. Guitar shopping in Austria/Europe is expensive though, at least for Europeans...
If you happen to be in Vienna on the weekend of 20-22 June 2025, you could check out the DonauInselFest, 3 day music festival on a Danube Island, the biggest festival in Austria of its kind, lots of huge local bands, some international acts. Great place to just stroll around, soak up the atmosphere, be part of the local scene. All free...Last edited by bloos66; 03-21-2025 at 11:07 PM.

Before I would spend my time in a music store in Vienna, I would go to the famous coffee houses in the city.
