    First one on the market.
I saw Julian say they put the Bigsby on it to help balance the guitar, he doesn't use it. I wonder if the trapeze version is neck-heavy?

I only just realized that this model (both Bigsby and non-Bigsby) has nylon saddles. I like that choice. I have a set of Ellisonics in an old United body archtop sold under the brand name Paramount. They are great sounding pickups.

I put a TOM with nylon saddles on my Gibson ES-175 and like it as a compromise between a wooden saddle and a TOM with metal saddles. While I like the sound of wooden saddles, the intonation issues are often really annoying, especially as one tries to play chords up the neck. On my Teles and Strat, I use either brass or Graph Tech String Saver saddles rather than steel for tonal reasons; I have never tried their TOM saddles.

I think the Collings looks much nicer with a trapeze tailpiece than with the Bigsby, but then I don't think any guitar's appearance is enhanced by a Bigsby. The balance question is of concern, perhaps this tailpiece has enough mass to offset the balance issues.

Me also! I never noticed (or read) that before. I'll bet that is a major factor in the Collings NOT sounding like a Jet.
