I've just purchased a Brazilian RW bridge. I hope it's going to fit my '63 175.

Wow that is a pretty guitar! The burst is gorgeous, a lot like Steve Howe's '64.

    Thanks Jim.
I've had the guitar a couple of years but the bridge base is definitely not original. The TOM could be though.
It's rare to find an original all BRW bridge in the UK. Quite a bit cheaper than those on Reverb (which never seem to sell!!) and no CITES complications. It has the brass bushes in the saddle. I hope the intonation and tone are good! The guitar is fine as is! Should arrive in a couple of days.

Just make sure the foot (base) of the bridge is properly fitted to the curve of the top (no gaps), and that should work out nicely. Many floating bridge saddles (top) are fitted to a width of the posts that is pretty common if not standard, so you can even experiment with the difference in sound and feel that that option gives you.
I happen to like rosewood bridges and fingerboards. They can have gorgeous figure and they have a musical ring to them that couples well especially with a mahogany neck if you're lucky enough to have that.
Either way, I hope you're inspired by your new arrangement!
