Sticky coating? Which flats do you find particularly "sticky"? Is it related to the coating (nanoweb, XS-coated formula, enamel-coated, etc.) applied to some strings to promote longevity?

I'm not sure what they put on them and maybe it's just me getting used to the strings, but I've bought tons of sets of D'Addario chromes and TS Infeld flats and they all come out of the packaging feeling a little sticky. They're not rough or coarse, which is an important distinction, but sticky almost like there's a really thin layer of honey on top. After a couple weeks of playing (a lot) I find they become much slicker and what I think a flat wound string should feel like. Have not tried other brands
