Where can I find this firm cushion that attaches to the lower inner section of the L5 pickguard just above the bridge? It’s White in color.

What is it called? I need one.

    Thx for your replies!

Just use a block of felt.

I have several pieces of dense white foam, received as packaging for various electronic devices - phones, etc. When I need it for something I just cut a piece of the appropriate size and use it. Felt works, but I have both black and white foam on hand, at zero cost to me.

I suppose the top is finished with nitrocellulose? Does it like plastic foam, or should it be natural material, cotton, leather or somerhing like that?

nitro yes. I’ve no idea what it’s made of. Looks like a dense square cushion that is affixed to the bottom side of the pick guard.

and where might I find a piece thick enough that will keep the pick guard from moving?

    Previous discussion: pick guard felt

I have used a wine cork cut to the appropriate height, with a felted furniture slide adhered to the bottom face addressing the guitar. I just use some glue to hold it onto the pickguard. It is a firmer feel than a felt block and there can be a little bit more "thump" against the top of the guitar, particularly when strumming.

I would wonder if you could get a piece of thick felt at a craft store. I've never looked.

You may find something suitable from the wide range of felt washers or beaters that drummers use. I would be afraid to use foam.

I found a wool felt jewelry kit in various sizes that should do the trick.

    Many thanks to all!

I've been using foam for more than a decade on a couple of guitars, and as far as I can see the nitro finish has not been affected at all. When I remove the pickguard I can't tell where the foam cushion has been, no sign anything was ever there. I don't know if tightly matted animal hair (felt) is safer, but I've never seen an issue when I have used it.

saw that! Still haven't risked my fingers on the wool felt pad I bought, this looks the same, save for having at least 2 straight lines already in place prior to surgery. Maybe that will leave me with more fingers to play with.

Shouldn't that be on an arm assembly screwed into the side and reaching under the pickguard?

Anyway.. just has to be inert and not scratch. Balsa wood comes to mind so you can be sure it contains no artificial material. Also cork. Cork is easy to shape. Pure cork rings for fishing rod making would be one source. Pure wool has been used a long time but I'm always dubious of additives since poly is cheaper than wool and you don't know where it's been. Let us know how it works out.
