As a reader on this fun forum, far more than a "poster", I come to you all Very Happy Today,
as I have finally, in my mid 60s, purchased my first archtop. For decades I've wanted one. Now
I am the owner of a William Gagnon "Composer" model, built in 2005, that sports a floating Kent
Armstrong pickup. (photo below) Normally I am drawn toward very traditional looking guitars,
that have an obvious measure of fanciness to them, such as a Campellone "Special" model,
(Link: Special Series | MCampellone.com ) and I was looking for one of those in excellent con-
dition, or something very similar. Then I happened upon the Gagnon below, and I was instantly
    smitten!

That is a beauty for sure. As a woodworker, I appreciate all the woods and the fine craftsmanship in your guitar.

I can only imagine it plays as beautifully as it looks. Enjoy it!

And just why are we crying about the demise of archtops when individual luthiers can produce such masterpieces? This one's from 2005 but looks like it was made yesterday. Congrats!

Thank You All, for the Compliments, and Kindness Shown to Me!
I confess to liking the headstock design/style as much as I like the body and neck/fretboard.

It’s a pity that he stopped building wooden bridges in exotic woods. He built some of the best at a very modest price.

Always have admired Bill Gagnon’s guitars from his website. Unfortunately I ever have had the opportunity to play one in person. That is a Beauty!

This Gagnon has a 17 inch lower bout that's 3 inches deep,
    25 inch scale length,
and my dial caliper says the width of the neck just forward of the nut is 1.738 inches.

Is the depth of the neck at frets 1&12 fairly slim or larger like a Historic Gibson? Caliper measurements minus the strings of course,Lol!
