FWIW, I use Elixir NanoWebs on everything except my archtop and if for some reason I could not get TI's then the Elixirs would be fine.
They are the only other string I've used that holds up to my nasty
body chemistry. Elixir trebles are plated also. D'Addario's turn red
within a couple hours playing time.
No such problem with Ti's or Elixirs

Pyramids? I first heard about the in TQR which immediately turned me off.
If they had a gauge that I was interested I would try them maybe just for fun but they would go on a guitar I never use and they are pretty expensive for that.
My TI plain strings arent gold but they are more golden than other makers.
