Hi,
any suggestions for pickups?
Some say its a dark sounding guitar, which seems quite strange to me.
I was thinking p90 humbucker for neck, not gonna change the bridge pickup
Other thing would be going for classic 57 , maybe lollar,
Byt, the guitar its on its way, next week will join the family along with ES165 and Godin.
I read your opinions,
Thanks for helping.

That’s a nice guitar
and the stock pickups, Super 58s (I assume), are really nice
I would see how I get on with those before switching them out
if you wanted a HSP90, the Bare Knuckle Manhattan is the one to beat

I will try first of course.
I think that one would be a terrific match.
Thanks!

Enjoy your new guitar. I’ve only ever heard good things about these
I hope that the original pups meet your needs (and lowering/adjusting them might help)

Those are fairly special stock pickups, the silent super 58s. The description is lengthy.
"An "anti-feedback" version of the Super 58. This extra quiet version of the Super 58 is an Alnico magnetic humbucker with a classic warm and versatile tone. The covers and coils are immersed in a special sound isolating gel for even quieter operation and feedback rejection. The Silent 58 pickups feature the classic, warm tone of Super 58's with an anti-feedback treatment. Dark jazz tones from the neck pickup are not muddy, but full, rich, and lush. Classic, warm and versatile. Handles both jazz and rock without feedback. Gold covers."
I had a 1983 ibanez with the alnico 3 super 58s. Those were the best humbucker i ever used. The silents are alnico 5. I was going to say if you dont like them, just swap in the alnico 3 magnets. But I don't know if that is possible with the description of how they are built.

Hi, have you decided on the pickup? I have a PM 120 and I'm always on the verge of putting a P94 on it in the neck position, but I haven't done it yet. Greetings!

Nope, but a P94 is a Gibson right?
Why so hurry?? Jaja
Im leading towards puting a classic 57 and giving it a gibsonesque touch
Such an easy playing guitar, super comfy and only 2,9 kg, only downside is that the neck is just too skinny for me
Saludos!

I don't think you can do better than an original Super 58. They can be so clear and sparkly, you would think it was a single coil, or deep and jazzy.
