Hey all,
Taking the suggestion from many on this forum, I visited Masaki-san's shop, Walkin in tokyo in my latest trip to Japan. He was super nice indeed. I walked out with a used At105JR in amazing condition with a hard case for 145k yen. Its a really cute guitar, like the ES140, but slightly bigger. Now at home, I'm even more impressed, especially by its acoustic volume. Being a ply wood set pickup 13in jazz box meant for electric playing, it has no business sounding this good. Please excuse my sloppy playing, I don't think I do this guitar justice, but I think you'll be able to hear that it really sounds good acoustically, especially compare to other typical sub $1k jazz box many of which are much more bulky.
Also pictured is me trying Masaki's D Aquisto onced owned by Jim Hall, truly an amazing and resonant guitar. I'd really recommend anyone going to Japan to visit his shop.

Don't underestimate the plywood sound. Some of my favorite are plywood. Yours sounds very nice acoustically. Enjoy!

That does sound nice acoustically. Now I want one; I'd never heard of those!

Masaki is a true gentleman. I hope to meet him someday.
