With Pete Biltoft (Vintage Vibe) retired, which is a shame, I know Lollar makes a CC neck for tele, and a company called Roswell does also... does anyone know of any other winders making CC pickups FOR TELE?? I looked around but didn't find much...

TKSmith makes an awesome CC pickup with adjustable poles, I have one in the neck position in a lovely Tele that Hammertone put together for me.

Roswell make inexpensive pickups, I had a Roswell seven string pickup, it was ok. but they're not the best.

If I only didn't have to route the neck for the CC. And aren't there near tonal substitutes for CC p/us? I don't think you could go wrong with Lollars.

Well, I'm talking about tele-neck-sized CC pickups, not the original design. I thought that was understood. Even then, some routing may be required on the guitar body (Lollar even sells routing templates for his CC pickup)

I've tried Vintage Vibes, Lollars, and TK Smith in various Teles. TK is the clear winner in my book.

I do wish he made a traditional blade style; I prefer the aesthetics of the blade to the individual pole pieces.

I found with Peter Biltoft CC Rider using the Ceramic Magnet worked best for a fatter Clean Jazz type of tone. Too bad he’s no longer in business!

If you click on the pic of the one with polepieces it opens a page saying that it is also available as a straight bar pickup and explains some other differences between the two.

^ That'd be difficult to fit in a Tele.

Easier than a Les Paul Junior.
