    Dog Ears will float:

After some experiments today, I've found that Dog Ears will float with a 18mm to 20mm gap between the top of the guitar and the strings.

LOL, "Dog Ears will float" is a bit of a startling announcement. I wasn't sure if you were referring to the ears on your dog, your pickups, or what. I guess one could make life simple and mount the pickup onto the top plate with a little bit of Blue Tack. I'm not sure how you would hold the plastic dog ear cover down, though. The P90 is sure a nice sound.

    Cut one Dog Ear off?

I'm experimenting, but I'm thinking that I'll cut one Dog Ear off, the other Dog Ear is fixed underneath the pickguard with epoxy.

    Then 'Dog Ears' will float.

I read the headline as a prediction, and thought about calling the RSPCA.

That's a FAUX Spaniel man, the ears are all wrong! Darn basset hounds; always for the attention!
