I am considering a smaller Archtop and would like to know about your experience
with the above mentioned guitars. I am referring to the deeper one pickup version of the Solar model.
Other suggestions are welcome too!
Thanks in advance

My friend and teacher Nick Costley-White, one of the top pro jazz guitarists in London, uses the Corona model.

I own a Corona. A friend of mine has a Solar. Great guitars.

Even though I’ve never played one of these guitars. I wouldn’t hesitate purchasing one if quality of construction or materials was of concern. The real question is if Feels Right to You!
And unfortunately the best guess is it’s probably a great instrument!

For me it is not a guess. Same goes for Nick Costly-White, Romain Pilon, Yotam Silberstein, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and many others.

I have a Solar TD. As Stevus says, they are great instruments.

Hey, thanks for the message, nice to hear. Masaki is looking at putting me in touch with someone in the UK that has recently purchased one also, so if its not so far away i can go take a look. I have an Ibanez AF2000 which is fun, its nice, but would like something 'next level' and budget (or skill set) doesn't quite stretch to Benedetto's and the like!.
I guess it is comes down to 'feel' doesn't it, and that really is so personal. I like the Ibanez neck as its chunky enough but flies, and i have a ES335 which is nice, but just feels clumsy in comparison...lets see how things develop. Thanks again for the comments, its real helpful.
