If anyone may recognize my username I have been on and off looking for an Ibanez PM20 model. At this time I'm actually not looking after getting an Epiphone Zephyr Regent I am enjoying, but this PM20 came across my Reverb feed and thought I'd share as it is just quite interesting to me:
Just a moment...
This PM20 differs from others as it has traditional F-holes (and not the very wide f-holes you see on a lot of Ibanez hollow bodies these days) instead of the D'Aquisto style "S" holes, no Pat Metheny signature inlay, and a byrdland style tailpiece. Also, there's no model number on the inside sticker, although it is very obviously a PM20. I sometimes see the Pat Metheny inlay being instead a regular block inlay but never the other stuff.

FIW, that's not a Byrdland-style tailpiece (which looks quite different). It's a generic loop tailpiece found on lots of lower-priced Asian archtops. Most likely it's a replacement for a broken original.

Ah yes, you are correct. My eyes failed me in this instance. That's what I thought about that tailpiece, as well. Shame, as I like the old PM style tailpieces.

That is very new info to me. I have looked the PM20 up and down for a few years now and never ever knew they came with traditional F-holes at some point. Wonder why that is. FWIW I prefer the more modern style but that is super cool to know that those are out there.
