I just go to reverb every day and check the Campellone guitars for sale. Right now, there are 5 available at not bad prices at all. In fact, one the most expensive I believe is actually a good deal. If you want a carved top guitar of the finest and no wait you have options today. 20 years from now everyone will be saying..............gosh we should have bought one back then. At my age that is not so appropriate but if you are less than 50 years old then it makes all the more sense. In fact, a young player just getting into jazz maybe even 20-22 years old it will be worth it. To play and own as time goes on,

I know because at age 18, 45 years ago I wanted a D'angelico guitar. So, I showed up and George Gruhn's in person and bought one off the wall. A blond excel listed for $2500 and my grandfather told me to offer him $2000 and he would sell it. I went home with it thrilled.

The same thrill can be had in a Campy and you probably could ever call Mark C and he would give you the complete history of the guitar. There it is they are waiting.

I agree with everything you're saying, but having previously bought a used Campy and now going through the build process of my own custom guitar for the first time is really another level. The anticipation, the photos along the way, the conversation, it's all something else. The used Campy is great, but having MY Campy built just for ME is really something special.

Thanks to those who are documenting the creation of Mark's latest archtops! I anxiously await the Cameo coming soon and seeing it come to life has really made it a great ride. My Deluxe is already 3 years old and it sounds better than ever! What a powerful sound! It makes my Collings Eastside sound like a toy by comparison, and it's also a great guitar.

Wow. The Bible says nobody can see God and live. I feel like I'm having a near-death experience looking at these deities of the archtop world.

Busy getting ready for a few sporting challenges in my 70th birthday year and I had this terrible feeling that I hadn’t checked in for a while. Great to see that the master is still performing magic and that the crowd are ever grateful. All the best Mark!
