Just bought a Carvin Fatboy from Jim Soloway, who so graciously agreed to sell it to me. Wow, what a spectacular instrument, and so generous of Jim as well!

And it got there quickly (and on time!), That is so cool. In fact, given the nature of Canada Post, that's pretty much a miracle.

Gorgeous!! It's very similar to the 7 string I got from their custom shop in 1994 (when it was truly a custom shop) -

    Kudos Jim Soloway!-on_sofa_1000-jpg

    Enjoy it - that's a wonderful guitar!

Very cool. I've never played a Holdsworth model but my main guitar is one of their newer headless models essentially based on Allan's with a solid body and Hipshot floating bridge. I still got it with the 20" fretboard radius and Holdsworth neck humbucker which is nice.

    What year is this guitar?

Of course they're no longer made, Carvin is now Kiesel.
