I've seen that in several ads. Some people seem to think that the hardware needs the box to function.
Wonder if some are collectors and figure the hardware is devalued if the box is not present.

That's good though, you could file a claim with Reverb if the box is functional, because then it wouldn't match it's description: "Reverb has your back if your item is lost, damaged, or doesn't match its description."

These ads are useful for identifying predatory sellers - Box: "$99.99 + $19 Shipping"

That's someone from whom I will never buy anything.

My full suite of full-sized GI Joe gear plus the wooden "foot locker" would have secured my early retirement had it not been sold off in a garage sale back in the 70's.
