Any experience with this nylon string crossover? I'm looking for a nylon acoustic for fingerstyle jazz.

I would have thought someone might have played this guitar, maybe not.

That's not a nylon string guitar?

Looks like it, just ball-end strings on it instead of tied. Narrower nut width, could be interesting.

These have way too much bling on them which makes me doubt their tonal merits - get a Cordoba (Fusion 12 model) and start practicing ;-)

Yes, the Luxe 1 is nylon, the Luxe II was updated with steel strings which I did not initially realize. I have seen FG playing the nylon string on YT and on the Court website but with too much processing to tell how the guitar actually sounds.

I'm not a luthier but I'm pretty sure bling and tone are unrelated and if FG wants a little bling on a signature guitar I'm not going to object even though it wouldn't be on a custom guitar of my choice.

Here's a vid with its more natural sound.

I like the specs, except for the 4" depth, because:

    1. Comfort
    2. Feedback

(I also question the choice of hard African Blackwood for a nylon guitar top. It sounds to me a bit sterile, compared to the usual conifers.)

Seems like FG will sell his name on anything. (Not that they're not good items.)

In that price range, tone, bling and electronics are very much related. Bling and electronics cost money and that cost has to be recouped somewhere. When I see a lot of bling and comprehensive electronics on a moderately priced guitar I assume that it comes at the price of compromises on the tone woods and/or construction. That doesn't mean that it's not a good sounding guitar but that compromise is real.

And I don't know if anyone has posted this but here's a pretty good natural sounding demo.
