Help identifying Claydes Smith guitar

Hi, can anyone help identify this guitar, played by Claydes Charles Smith of Kool & The Gang, probably mid-70s. I thought at first it was a semi-hollow, but it seems to be solid-body and short scale. Guild? He played other Guilds throughout his career.

Looks like a variation of a Gibson L-5S.

Thanks - that's the one, hadn't come across that Gibson before and looks to be pretty rare nowadays.

In other words - in the OP's picture, we are seeing a sunburst black hole?
